Hi friends! The last couple of weeks have been crazy busy with working two jobs and preparing for the big move into our new house. We are hoping to have a closing date sometime next week if all goes well with paperwork, etc (fingers crossed)!!!
After working a twelve hour day and cooking a quick dinner, it’s kind of tough to plan and prepare healthy snacks for the next day. So my go to snacks lately have been all about healthy options and convenience such as fresh fruit, nuts, and single serving hummus products. Usually, I would rather portion out raw veggies and hummus to bring as a snack to save money. But the other day I spotted Dippin Stix’ for 99 cents! I bought the carrot & hummus combo to try out.
One container has 60 Calories, 2 grams of fat, 0 grams of saturated fat, 2 grams of fiber, & 3 grams of protein. A great mix of healthy fat, fiber, and protein. Typically, I usually consume closer to around 150-200 calories for a snack so I paired the single serving hummus combo with some grapes.
Have you tried any single serving hummus snacks?
What’s your go to healthy and convenient snack?
Hope everyone is having a great week!

My favorite snack is string cheese and a few raw almonds. I also like almond butter and a banana.
I used to buy the single serving Sabra hummus packs when Costco carried them (for a very short time). The “single servings” were actually still quite big though if I remember correctly.
P.S.: Good luck with the move and everything else going on in your life!
Thanks so much Andrea
I’m a huge snacker, and my snacks are normally 100-200 calories (depending on when I think my next meal will be!). I have never heard of this hummus-to-go snack, but it’s a very good idea. I think I’m just too cheap to buy it
I’d rather just pack my own hummus and carrots, you know? My favorite snack is my granola. I’m still addicted.
Good luck with the move!! It’s a ton of work, but it can also be a very special and fun time. Enjoy it.
What a great idea! It’s hard to find pre-packaged healthy snacks a lot of times.
Good luck with the move!
What did you think of the taste of these little guys? I had one and the carrots were dry and a little bitter. The humus was OK tasting but it still lacked the kick I like. I always end up adding to my humus–things like olives or harissa– but the portion size of this little guy made that seem a little superfluous. Overall it’s better than crackers and peanut butter or bread sticks and fake cheese, but it could use a flavor overhaul.
Ps. also, good luck on your move!
Yeah, I agree… it was not the best hummus I’ve ever had. But it does get an A+ for convenience.
