Dynamic Duos
Hello y’all! My mini vacation/bachelorette party getaway was a blast this past weekend. Although we stayed at a casino, I did not gamble once. I’m just not into it; I think about a shirt/dress/shoes I can buy every time I lose a hand! Here is a pic of me with the bride-to-be! We are standing in front of one of those silly ‘pin the lips on the guy’ bachelorette party games.
Last night, I went to the grocery and picked up some exciting new eats for the week! I had no intention of pairing a couple of my purchases but after reading “recommended accompaniments” on the bag, I went for it.
Food Should Taste Good Jalapeno Chips/Crackers + Goat Cheese = Match Made in Heaven
This is so addicted! I’ve seen this brand all over blogland and decided to finally give them a try. Boy, I was not disappointed! Plus, the nutritional info is not too shabby either…
- Good source of fiber- Check
- Low in saturated fat- Check
- Not crazy high in sodium- Check
- Pronounceable ingredients- Check
I think I’m in love
I have a feeling Cory is going to love these too; he’s obsessed with spicy things and trust me, these have got a little kick!
Another awesome snack duo, is a banana topped with almond butter! If you have not tried almond butter yet, do so immediately because it may change your life.
Almond Butter + Banana = Healthy Fats, Fiber, Protein, & Deliciousness. Definitely a complimentary pair!
Need a grab-and-go snack? How about an apple paired with Mini Babybel Light Cheese?
One wrapped mini cheese is only 50 calories, 3 grams of fat, and 6 grams of protein. Not to mention, 20% of your daily calcium needs. Total snack (depending on the size of your apple) = 150 calories!
Last but certainly not least, is one of my new favorite snacks… Plain Greek Yogurt + Fresh Pineapple! I think FAGE is my favorite brand because I find it’s the creamiest.
One cup of FAGE 0% has 120 calories and 20 grams of protein! That’s right, 20 grams of protein. An added bonus (besides the tastiness) is that pineapple contains bromelain which is a mixture of protein digesting enzymes; basically, it helps digest the protein in the greek yogurt.
What is your favorite snack combo?

20 grams of protein? Wowza! I am yet to try Fage, but I want to! Something about the label doesn’t entice me as much as Oikos and Chobani…what a poor excuse! Apple + cheese = wonnnderful! Laughing Cow is great on apples, too! And I also LOVE goat cheese! So delicious!

I love all your snack combos and eat all of them frequently. I also love hummus & veggies (carrots, mini peppers, & cucumbers).

cute pic! I love the banana and jar pic, it looks like something I would do. Same here with the gambling, it just seems like such a waste!

Love the picture of the bride-to-be!! Classic.
Your snack combination are great. I love Greek yogurt with ANY fruit, really, but I often eat mine with frozen berries. Of course I also love banana and nut butters, and that’s one of Nick’s favorites too. The BabyBel cheeses are so delicious, I just feel bad spending 4 dollars on it sometimes. I buy it when I have coupons! It’s so addicting, and I usually go through it so fast, which is why I feel back paying so much for it.
Thanks for all the snack ideas. And, those chips do sound great, and the nutrition stats are even better! Maybe Nick would eat those instead of the crappy Lay’s he buys….

Kasey, thanks for the eats! I want to try those chips, and I LOVE any greek yogurt with pineapple. yes please! Also, I just tried sunflower seed nut butter recently-slightly more salty, but not as sweet as peanut butter. It’s a nice change, but I think almond butter trumps all. have a good day!

I would say that goat cheese goes with just about anything! Almond butter recently changed my life. I don’t like peanut butter, but found that I really love almond butter (and pecan butter.) Great snack ideas!
