Farewell Dinner
We said goodbye to Nicole at Zea’s on St. Charles Avenue. The menu is a bit extensive…
It took everyone a little while to decide on what to order. For appetizers, we ordered the Mediterranean Hummus and Spinach Dip to share at the table.
I had about a quarter of the hummus dish. It was very tasty with sun dried tomatoes, feta, garlic, and olives. I had just a taste of the spinach dip…
For drinks, the girls ordered a bottle of La Crema Pinot Noir and toasted to Nicole’s visit! This wine is so good.
For my entree, I ordered the Asian Tuna Salad which was seared sashimi tuna, crispy noodles, sesame seeds, almonds, and peanut vinaigrette with Thai Snap Beans and Roasted Corn Grits as sides…

Everything I ordered was delicious but the portion sizes were outrageous… I ended up eating almost all of the tuna itself, a quarter of the salad, and half of each of the sides. Cory and I have days worth of leftovers!
Do you take home leftovers when the restaurant’s servings are huge?

The food looks delicious! I love hummus, and I love tuna salad!
Yes, if the portions are big, I definitely take the leftovers home (if I like the food…). Lately, we have been sharing a few appetizers however rather than ordering entrees. Slightly “under ordering” usually ends up being the perfect amount of food…

I always have leftovers, how bad are those roasted corn grits? Calorie wise? I love Zea’s

Well, I believe the chef uses heavy cream and butter in the corn grits so they are pretty calorically dense.

This is Wendy (Travis’s cousin) I want to let you know how much I enjoy your website. I tried your taco season this weekend and loved it, I am always looking for was to cut my sodium. I have given your website to several women in my building and they have all found it to be very usefully. Thanks for all the great information and recipes.

Thanks Wendy! I’m glad you enjoyed the sodium free taco seasoning. The salt can be omitted from all my recipes
